the great adventure

22.10.07 back to 25 dover close east

today, i went red blue gold again.

first, it rained in the morning, so i got lazy, so i decided to walk out to take good ole beloved 200 hurhur. i realise, i actually miss the bus. sure, it's smelly, slow, and non-aircon at the worst possible times. but it's predictable and reliable. if the schedule said 8.05am, it's coming at 8.05am alright, error margin of 7 minutes (i've been doing confidence intervals the whole day).

past ac, to buona. i was actually half an hour early at city hall. i'm getting better at this hurhur.

after a mad morning and lunch with old wise one and young, ignorant, stupid one, back to city hall. back to buona.

i never noticed how long the walk was from buona to ac haha. anyway, random fact but yeah haha.

back to the qm room to help mongsuan with gp (women and man haha). there's actually a band notice board now! whoots! and it's so good to see the whole bunch of mad band people all over again. the juniors are getting madder, as the batches come in, i'm convinced. and not forgetting the teh peng in ac. nothing but mr tea beats that.

up to the abandoned 7th floor. establishing confidence (intervals) in that random room. i realise, it's so much easier to study in ac than anywhere else. no internet. definitely can find a room. even the void deck is windy. and i suddenly recall the random mugging days in the happy huts, lt3, the hub, the library. you never had to fight for rooms nor actually book it. even when it's past time, mario never chases us out, he just asks "eh, finish already ah?" i think if we said no, he'll go ahead, clean the rest of the classrooms, before coming back and telling us we really had to go.

not forgetting mrs. tan and the wonderful parents who provided dinner. it's gotten a lot better, they even serve fruits haha. and they pray before serving everything out.

there are so many things i miss about 25 dover close east. and i'm quite sure my batch feels the same. i say this, not only from my view, but also from the knowledge that some of us still go back to mug in the hub randomly (while supporting our juniors with peer tutoring). haha i actually saw this guy from scone from my batch, and he was equally surprised to see a familiar face. it was nice (:

haha i think i go back so much, the security guards have stopped asking me who i am haha. i think i might go back and mug at ac more. it's a lot more conducive i find. except for the fact that i can't ask anyone about things i don't have a certain confidence (level) in stats about haha.

Give me strength to cross the water,
keep my heart upon Your altar.
Give me strength to cross this water,
keep my feet don't let me falter.
