the great adventure

25.6.07 it's sc HEHE ra za de

haha quite obvious i've finally learned how to spell that super nice piece haha. thanks to mel haha.

yays, i'm going back to an endeavour with greater productivity tomorrow, which is erm playing with pre-nursery kids. haha being mummy for 2 and a half hours beats sitting in front of the tv for the entire morning / afternoon / evening / day.

for the record, i can take directions from 印度 haha. oh man, this isn't some racist joke, it's just that on the way home on purple line, i just thought of yingDO. anyway... went for my first ensemble concert, not counting all those from acjc. and of all places it has to be, it's YMS. talk about memories of grade 8, but YMS, waterloo street and the surrounding area is the arty farty place. i think i'm slowly getting nearer and nearer to it, ever since i discovered bugis junction, went for veli's art exhibition at arab street, and now on to smoo. oh yeah, but that's a real nice area to be in. a tad bit shady for my liking, too ulu for convienience, but it's got the old rustic... artsy fartsy feel to it. i'm rambling, should have listened to guosh and gone to sleep, but there's a lot on mind.

funny thing was, i didn't even know who was performing until i got there and found out it was guosh, and not some random concert the kids picked out haha. and it wasn't that bad, quite fun for me, as a first-timer ensemble audience.

and yes, i do agree with yingDO that all form of demure and class in the ladies of acjcband left with my batch, considering how the pregnant woman, the sec 4 girl, the cow and the mad mother behaved today haha. hilarity, now i know where they get their fun while mugging for a's and being in sight of the new school term with unfinished holiday assignments and mugging.

speaking of unfinshed homework, i can edit and organize my bro's essay. guess what it was about: gene therapy. and what on earth is that, i still have no idea, but i dare say mark-bin would be able to educate me, since if i don't recall incorrectly, he did something with accronyms as long as the ones i encountered tonight, so it must be along the same lines yeap. okay, i do approximately what's it all about, i read english. but... urgh. haha

another thought in mind: i think for all the government's efforts like courtesy campaign, i'm increasingly losing faith in local courtesy in the transport systems. for one, in the NEL stations (the purple line haha), they don't have those yellow lines that people boarding the train have to stand behind, so as to let people alighting the train to make they're moves first. everyone just crashes impatiently into each other. honestly? and in the bus, nobody wants to move further into the bus. i mean, despite that rice advert about everyone wants to go home for dinner, i think it's the golden umbrella one, the one with cranes. and when people are moving out, they just stand there like rocks, despite the loud excuse me (if i could hear myself with earphones in, it was loud alright). gush, almost makes me want to start my driving lessons, too bad it's so expensive. then again, road rage is erm all the rage in singapore, with flashing lights, cutting lanes and stuff like that. sure, that don't beat what the malaysians do on their roads (believe me, it's really quite bad haha), where the cut in and out like free. i should just do a john / moses and walk everywhere i go. argh, i think i'm doing a tired guosh haha. b***** haha.

but really, it's just getting worse, from my point of view. public transport, private transport, car, bus, mrt, bicycle... oh well, gahmen, as ken lim would have said in the very taxi driver accent haha.

on other things, in commemoration of cool wintery air, blue mountain, the opera house, angel place, in short, sydney 06, pb, luqman, fary and i had long johns fish and chips for dinner. well, nothing beats the original in the land of the wombats sigh.

fish and chips by darling harbour with the whole gang and the seagulls.

my favourite photo from sydney of all time (: sigh.

Give me strength to cross the water,
keep my heart upon Your altar.
Give me strength to cross this water,
keep my feet don't let me falter.
